Chris Harkness of MM55productions
has devoted more than twenty years of his life to the promotion of
music in some of Houston's most popular venues, including, Fitzgerald's, The Vatican, The Abyss, The Velvet Elvis and The
Orchid Lounge. Promoting “Live” music and helping artists with career development have been very important
components of his work. “Honky Tonk Happy Hour was an idea that was rolling around in my head for years and I
finally decided that I had all the elements in place to start developing the concept” Chris Harkness
Wayne Granzin of understandinc works his magic coordinating the pre and post-production of “Honky
Tonk Happy Hour”. Wayne has worked with Chris Harkness developing and promoting: The Abyss, The Velvet Elvis and
The Orchid Lounge. Wayne Granzin is an incredibly creative individual adding a unique perspective to the production of Honky
Tonk Happy Hour.
Our
plan is to videotape live episodes of Honky Tonk Happy
Hour and create content for viewing online. The program is currently hosted by Mitch Jacobs. Mitch has been on the Texas
music scene for many years, playing most recently with the popular Houston based band “Romeo Dogs” before leaving
to launch his solo career.
Our
goal is to produce a music program featuring talented
singer/songwriters and to provide them with Quality HD video segments that can be used for promotion. Video is an essential
online marketing tool but video taping a live performance is expensive and most unsigned artists have not had the means to
produce quality video, until now.
